For World Antimicrobial Resistance Week (WAAW) 2025, Centre for Science and Environment asked me to write a piece for Down to Earth. I chose to focus on youth – a valuable and sometimes overlooked asset in our response to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) on the African continent, and globally. Read here: WAAW 2025: Why Africa’s young population could be the turning point in the global antimicrobial resistance response. I wrote this in my capacity as AMR Program Manager at Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (DRASA) Health Trust. Happy reading!
